The mission and vision of NAAAHR is to provide a national forum for Black & African-American human resource practitioners and those who are aligned with our goals, can share, gain information and provide leadership on issues affecting their individual careers and the global workforce.
Greetings!
I am very pleased to be appointed as the Chapter President for Greater Huntsville, AL. In my view there is no better place than Huntsville and no better time than right now!
The mission and vision of NAAAHR is to provide a national forum for Black & African-American human resource practitioners and those who are aligned with our goals, can share, gain information and provide leadership on issues affecting their individual careers and the global workforce. This is a considerable feat given the history of our nation. Thus, my challenge to the local board and members of NAAAHR Greater Huntsville is to embrace the past while we plant our future!
To do this we must change the narrative because we know what it’s like to be beneath and not above! Profoundly noted by the late Chad Boseman.
I challenge you all to plant seeds of:
● Good Character & Mental Fortitude
● Contribute Meaningful Experiences
● Create Safe Havens of Psychological Safety
● Participate & Build Growth for our Chapter
● Establish a Bridge for our Young Professional and College Students
● Advocate for Women’s Rights, Equal Pay, Equality, Inclusion, Belonging and Accessibility
Remember, your today is what prepares you for your tomorrow, you own the outcome and decisions you make, so make it happen, and go forth, while doing great work!
I Thank You for what you have done thus far and what you will do in our future, Soar!
Giving My Best,
Dr. Krisshonna G. Brown
